This particular case may be different but as Nikole Hannah Jones has pointed out, “blue” areas have some of the highest segregation in schools and (fairly well-off, white) liberal parents ALWAYS find 1,000 reasons to oppose plans to make schools less white/reflect area demographics whenever they are proposed.[/quote]

It makes me gnash my teeth because I personally know her circle and they are extremely financially & educationally privileged and there kids will NOT suffer academically at all. Meanwhile their dilettantish interventions lead to things like San Francisco undermining math education through supposedly anti-racist curriculum decisions like banning Algebra in middle school … these types care zero about actually educating kids at Miner, and care a LOT about posturing online and getting good media hits.
