Theresa then went way overboard trying to explain herself, which I kind of get since Kathy was so abrasive. But she should've just said "okay, got it" and stopped engaging so much. 
Plus they were both interrupting each other and trying to talk over each other every time they talked.

I mean, Theresa kind of started it by not having the basic sense and courtesy to not gloat about how she's doing in a competition to her competitors. But from there, they both let it spiral. [/quote]
