Battlefield v Woodson game was sloppy and Woodson’s energy dropped off in the 2nd half. Battlefield’s goalie was the difference. And whoever said that Oakton’s JMU commit is average must be smoking something. Average doesn’t get recruited to the 5th ranked D1 lax team in the nation (over plenty of private school players).
Agree the Oakton JMU commit is an excellent player. Definitely one of the best in the VHSL. She’s just needs to avoid getting injured. Does anyone know what club she played for?
Metro Any player tries to keep from getting injured. It’s not like they go out there wanting to get hurt. This forum looks like Trolls 3 is being filmed in the DMV with all the ridiculous posts.
Well of course no player tries to get injured. But when coaches overuse their top players and even when they don’t, unfortunately injuries can and do happen and coaches need to be mindful of that especially later in the season when it matters. ACL/MCL tears, meniscus tears, pulled hamstrings, etc seem all to common these days and unfortunately these young players will pay the price later in life.
