Canada still has restrictions in place due to covid. Just exiting a lockdown now, restaurants are open with 50% capacity. You can go to the movies but you can't buy popcorn there and you have to sit with the mask on the whole time.
Can someone explain to me how does it make sense that you can eat in a restaurant with 50% capacity but at the movies with 50% capacity, sitting apart from other people you cannot eat?
Also, DH was just on a flight to Toronto, packed, not a single empty seat, so AirCanada is not subject to the 50% capacity but cafeteria lady at work had to close her business?[/quote]

That's your problem. The majority of Canadians (whatever they personally feel about the politicians) support vaccine mandates and the restrictions that are currently in place.[/quote]

I do agree that they are totally provincial and unsophisticated. I am from a European capital and lived in the DMV, Ottawans are like small-town Ohio folk, not that there is anything wrong with that.[/quote]

I fell in love with an American. The best thing that ever happened to me. I moved bcs I love him. Going on 30 years, I can honestly say that DH is the nicest husband and the best dad I could have ever imagined. At the time, I was in college and he got a job back in the States, so we choose to go where he got a job.[/quote]
