I watched Columbia Heights "come up"-- overnight-- big box and condos. It wasn't done well. It's unpleasant. There's still crime, trash and vacant store fronts. Why would it be different anywhere else? Respect the integrity of neighborhoods. Gradual development WILL happen. Doesn't have to be all at once. Of course if you have skin in the game ($$) you think differently.[/quote]
