But, do you see how this all could have been avoided by simply doing group breakfast/lunch/dinner? The problem is you went into a group vacation with a shared kitchen trying to distinguish food between families. If his mom was on the hook to make bacon and eggs for the group, you would have been chilling with your coffee.
Again, I don’t want to cook for 10 people every day. It’s not my idea of vacation. There were two stoves, two ovens and people got up at different times so it wasn’t the issue of space. His mom just cooked oatmeal every day and he ate off everyone else.
I would not want oatmeal either. I have 9 and 11 year olds. They can make their own food but, god, I would think you were rude if you fed your own child and didn’t at least offer my kid some food. Our family has a lot to offer in terms of friendship and you would definitely be losing by not giving my kids some eggs or whatever. We are generous. We could help your kid get into college or get a job. You are really short sighted, OP.
Plus, it’s not only cruel but completely inappropriate to have so much animosity towards a kid. The op called him an a$$hole and clearly focused her anger on him. That’s sick.
