Just so that we're talking about the same thing, the CNN story was about the 2 page synopsis.  The classified one.  Buzzfeed posted the full memo after the CNN story broke.

Exactly this. The classified 2-page summary document covered the details that could be verified. Not everything in the 35 page report is true because it's a composite from interviews with various sources. It was given to the intel agencies so they had a starting point to track down the facts and individuals.
