Your track record doesn't really support that claim.  Nothing the US did in the Middle East, for instance, brought any stability.  Wealth and power doesn't bring stability. You have to deploy a brain cell on occasion, too.[/quote]

That's demonstrably false.  The US has accomplished plenty of things which brought stability to the region.  Did that eliminate larger issues in terms of Sunni vs. Shi'a or aggression by Saddam?  No.  But stable regimes in places like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Lebanon and Jordan are beneficial and help advance US interests.  We don't need the Turks fighting the Kurds.  We don't need the State of Pakistani to fail.  We don't need Netanyahu to bomb Iran.  We played our hand poorly in Iraq and made things infinitely worse but that doesn't make Isolationism the answer.  We need to lead on issues like refugee resettlement and set the tone.[/quote]
