I've stopped following any friends who feel this way. I never post anything political on FB. It's not because I'm embarrassed that I support Trump. I use FB to look at cute Halloween costumes and get updates about my child's school and activities.  The election is everywhere and my job is stressful. I want to keep FB a stress free happy place where I can see your baby pics, vacation photos and holiday recipes. [/quote]

This is why I don't discuss politics on FB. I joined Facebook to keep in touch with friends and family who have moved far away. I enjoy seeing pictures of weddings, new babies, and cute photos. Also, I get updates on local events/activities and school announcements. I discuss politics in person with friends willing to have a civilized debate over issues. Alos, I come here to discuss politics. Thank you DCUrbanMom! The posts I see on Facebook are quite hateful. I have even seen people I like/love post rather nasty things. I don't need to get into a useless debate on Facebook and risk a friendship over an election that will be determined in one week. Also, I have never seen anyone change their mind because of something posted on Facebook. [/quote]
