Syria is a mess.  Every faction involved has a ton of disturbing baggage.  I don't think there is any US President who could have sorted out the Syria problem.

And of course it's a lot more complex than "Obama" given the region was destabilized by overt causes like the Iraq war (which to remind you predates Obama), along with a host of less obvious causes like the Turks damming up rivers upstream impacting farming and other uses downstream in Syria and Iraq, causing economic instability and a breeding ground for hostility and prime recruiting grounds for militant organizations.

But go on, hate Obama and pretend he's the sole cause of everything.  Whatevs.[/quote]
