How does this work - i am new to this AAP for my elder one. Does NNAT 133 itself not get the kid in pool, was the kid in pool and not accepted due to COGAT/GBRS and hence had to appeal. Also did you do parent referral, is it same as appeal - sorry again dont know much about APP processes first hand[/quote]

1. Scores on NNAT [b]or[/b] CogAT at benchmark (usually 132) or higher --&gt; in pool --&gt; screening file prepared
2. Parent referral --&gt; screening file prepared

GBRS with Commentary added to screening file (done by Local Screening Committee)

Thank you for detailing step by step process  - that helps 
All screening files from #1 and #2 go to Central Screening Committee
(it's actually most screening files, because Local Screening Committee could say the file does not move forward -- rare, but it happens)

Central Screening Committee identifies Center eligible students

APPEALS are for those that were NOT identified as Center eligible by Central Screening Committee[/quote][/quote]
