Using Bachelor (not Bachelorette) as an example, they do make suggestions on what the contestants should bring when they first arrive at the mansion (cocktail dresses, swimsuits, etc.). I read on the dates, the producers will give general clothing suggestions (dress, shorts, swimsuit), but everything I've read is the contestants bring their own clothes and decide what to wear. It's totally conceivable that the producers would suggest "OH, you should unbutton another button to get his attention better." [/quote]
