The poster is talking about all the issues her medicated ASD/ADHD child has... yes, it sounds like a nightmare. And, it has nothing to do with MERLD. You are missing the point. The one poster keeps coming on every thread derailing the MERLD/language disorder topics with her own agenda. I don't get why OP started this thread knowing they would do it, in less the OP is the ASD/ADHD mom. The treatments are not the same, similar, but not. The speech therapy is very different for receptive/expressive issues vs. pragmatic. The ASD/ADHD mom is giving very poor advice in terms of a child with needs very different than hers.[/q NP here. You have missed the point of what every other parent has posted here, including MERLD parents. Calling someone else's SN situation a "nightmare" is far off the reservation for an SN forum. It is insulting and condescending. Who among us has not heard such things from friends or relatives with typical kids? At least those parents don't have the experience to understand. But coming from another SN parent, it is simply inexcusable. This is, above all, a place for SN parents to support and comfort one another. And that has EVERYTHING to do with both MERLD and ASD. That's what we really have in common. How can you not understand this?
