We made arrangements with another family and swap snow days.  All four of us take turns taking a day whenever schools close for weather.  It works out really well.  It can also work if it's just you and another mom or dad.[/quote]

Exactly, not everyone's spouse has a flexible job. DH travels for work. If/when they announce a school closure tomorrow, he will not be able to magically show up at the house and be off from work. I have several things scheduled tomorrow for work that will not be well accepted if I tell my boss that I have to re-schedule due to yet another snow closure.[/quote]
