Covenants committee? I was under the impression that there was no binding association for wood arces. What do they simply appeal during the permitting phase? It isn't like there isn't dozen and dozens of tear downs in the neighborhood although granted more across mass in sumner and glen mar which I always thought was do to bigger lots and higher comps.[/quote]

I'm sure someone who has expanded their WA house will chime in, but the bottom line is that you can't change the main/front features of the houses and you can't tear down to build a McMansion. So if you look at the many varied additions on WA houses, you can still see the original 1940s front. There are some big additions that add a lot of square footage and modern features, but the neighborhood still feels very cohesive.[/quote]
