Were you alive when RHPS went anywhere but B-CC? It's been like that forever. - someone who went to CCES
Since 1976, apparently. http://www.nytimes.com/1982/03/01/us/minority-parents-fight-maryland-school-panel.html
I was alive then, but living in a different state where busing was quite more "stark" than RHPS/CCES in both diversity of students and distance of bus ride, and I had a great (I think "normal") experience. In our current home, kids currently are planned to go to CCES and Westland. I am happy for my kids to go to either Westland or the new middle school, as both will be great regardless of where boundary lines are drawn, but would prefer the new school purely based on a shorter commute time.
