I wonder about that too. When MCPS closes, that's bad. When MCPS doesn't close, that's bad too. Basically, no matter what MCPS does, it's bad -- or so I infer from the posts on DCUM.[/quote]

The MCPS bitchers generally complain because they PAID A FORTUNE for their house so they could SEND DC TO THE GOOD SCHOOLS, forgetting that they bought in a large diverse county-wide district with large diverse district needs and policies. Because they overspent on the house, they can't afford private so they bitch. The third option of working with the system to improve it doesn't occur or appeal to them. Serving on one of the study circles would cut into Pilates or Fantasy Football.[/quote]
