We had a situation like this on our street and one day a visiting teenager backed out of the neighbor's driveway and hit the car parked directly across. I felt bad for the kid because it was really tight with the car parked there and as an inexperienced driver, she just didn't realize that there was so little room to maneuver. The other neighbor stopped parking across from that driveway after that, though, so there was a benefit there.
