He feels "way too socialist" because in the United States of America, the last time we had moderate presidencies was with FDR (revolutionarily moderate) and Eisenhower (crazy socialist).  We've completely forgotten what it means to have a truly fair and equitable social-capitalist system. Most of the rest of the advanced world, like Germany for example, is already enjoying all this "crazy socialist sh!t" like family leave and holidays, living minimum wages, free or super inexpensive post secondary education, access to integrated public or supported housing, health care, regulated banks and speculation, and on and on...   Honestly, they look at us as if we've gone berserk.  Us, America, the nation that helped them build up from the rubble of WWII with our awesome Marshall Plan.
