Affluent folks are embracing more urban living. This is not something that I need to tell myself - it is a bonafide trend. [b]My DH and I work in DC and Arlington [/b]respectively - ain't nobody got time to commute from Great Falls. Is it aesthetically nice? Of course. But at the end of the day, that only counts for so much when you have a decent housing budget. [/quote]

Totally agree.  It's like the only possibility they can imagine is that everyone either works in DC or Arlington.  I only know two people in our neighborhood who work in DC (we're in Great Falls).  Everyone else is in Reston, Herndon, McLean, Tysons, Vienna, etc.  Short commutes, tons of jobs!  [/quote]
