I will say, my one long-time single friend, gets annoyed when she's the "5th wheel" or the trip is going to be "all couples".  I make an effort to see her just the two of us.  But often I think she's more annoyed at being invited to "couples/family" stuff than not.  Obviously, YMMV.[/quote]

Yep.  That's why I stopped going to a certain New Year's Eve party.  Everyone else had someone to kiss first at the stroke of midnight.  I didn't.  I couldn't bare that moment anymore.[/quote]
