Not everyone finds virtue in being a doormat.[/quote] if my mother told something analogous to this (she could be quite "rude" but ultimately well meaning and there was always a kernel of truth there) she would have gotten quite a mouthful back, then and there. but there would be no storming out of the house and changing vacation plans. it's not about being a doormat, it's about having a sense of proportion.[/quote]
