They have made a BIG stance on not thinking polygamy is part of this life, downplaying polygamy in the founders of the church, etc. If the law changed and then, wow, suddenly there's a revelation that it's okay in this life - it just reinforces the view that they do whatever is politically expedient (a big criticism of the Mormon church). If the law changed and they DIDN'T bring back polygamy, they'd be going against some of their scriptures and history. [/quote]
