I think she just lied. she could have said something vague like she was considering various options and she still had not made a decision. instead, she said that she was definitely going to live in the District (so no MOCO), and that she was not sure whether her child could go to Wilson or had to go to the school was he was IB for ("I just don’t know how the schooling works, if he goes to the school that I’m at or if he goes to the school that’s nearest to our house").  this is total BS. she knows that she is getting free gym membership in her package from DCPS but she has no idea about her teenager's schooling in a town known for having some good and some very bad schools? she did not need to lie but I believe she did, and this is not good. Great point about knowing about the gym membership but not...

Where her child's going to school--

Or even a plan for improving some of the ills in urban education.

But why lie? Whether she was lying or simply inarticulate, she didn't come across well in the interview.[/quote]
