Regardless of how many racist white southerners refuse to attend TJ because of "all those Asians," the school will remain dominant in STEM.
I am from a northern state as are the neighbors on all sides of me (Massachusetts, New Jersey, Utah, Michigan, Ohio---just on my street). I'm not seeing a lot of "white southerners" around here. ??? I also notice that the Fairfax BOS and School Board are mostly not Republicans. I honestly see a pretty middle to left leaning area (voted for Obama in the last two elections). I think the STEM fanaticism has played out.
You must have a limited memory. Obama carried VA by an extremely narrow margin, You and your neighbors comprise a rather small sport on of NoVA. Even if your neighbors aren't white southerners, doesn't mean that's not true of much of NoVA. The fact that school leadership in one district is not Republican says little about the make-up of the general population of NoVA, which covers a rather larger area.
NP. He carried VA by solid margins. VA is a true blue state now in terms of presidential elections. There are pockets of Republicans in nova, but they are disappearing faster than affordable housing. It's like they moved to West Virginia or something.
