[/quote] I have also heard this. I've heard from several teachers that the use of ES varies so much from ES to ES. Some schools give them out more freely than others. Some teachers I've spoken to find the grading system frustrating because if a student transfers in from another school, it can be very difficult to actually evaluate what 'level' the kid is performing at.
