I believe that we are born straight or gay. If the daughter was born straight, she will probably always use male/female relationship in her pretend play. OP probably came from a household with a mom and dad, but her pretend play likely involved 2 moms. When kids play house, they are not pretending to be their own parents or the parents they wish they had. They are pretending to have the family THEY dream of having as a grown up. [/quote]
