The problem with women is that many of you want SPECIAL privileges, not equal treatment. You want 6 months to a year PAID maternity leave, paid pumping breaks all day long, paid time off to take care of all your personal problems. Equal pay, yes. Forget the rest because it isn't going to happen and I say this as a woman who has three children.
I didn't hear PA's speech, so not sure if you're referring to that or general wage inequality, but you need to get your facts straight. maternity leave is for BOTH MALE and FEMALE new parents. Not just for the women. that's equality. paid time off for "all your personal problems" I'm assuming you mean child care etc. and sick leave? Again - that's for BOTH MALE AND FEMALE employees. true equality (and equal marriages) typically have both DHs and DWs taking turns taking time off for "personal problems" when kids are sick, etc. That because there's equal pay, equal "power positions" in the workforce, it would be equality when the parents share those pesky "personal problems" when schools are closed, kids are sick, etc. Get real and really think about true equality before spouting off something like this.
