We got a CogAt test result in our son's backpack today along with the letter stating that he is in the pool and also the letter from fcps explaining about the CogAt test. Three papers were stapled together. Our son got: Verbal 111 Quantitative 124 Nonverbal 123 Composite (VQN) 122 (92 age percentile, 77 local percentile) I know his score is below 132 composite requirement for AAP pool. But, he got 135 on NNAT test last year. So, we believe he made it to the pool because of NNAT result. Chances for my son to get into AAP might be very slim, but when I heard about GBRS (gifted behaviors rating scale) will be included for a screening file, we started to wonder how much difference it could possibly make. Either way, we are very happy that he even made it into the pool. We wouldn't be disappointed even if he couldn't go to class IV AAP. We at least know that he will be fine in his current school. GL everyone!
