If mundane cleaning tasks have to wait until the kid is 3 months, then she should wait. And no -- not all parents are SO worried about this. I think most take common sense precautions of not letting a visibly sick person hold the kid, but many don't worry at all because they know that a 2nd child will have a germ factory of a older sibling breathing and touching them and will likely still be fine.[/quote]
