The bottom line with God is "My grace is sufficient." We will all surely agree with this when we are in eternity and our earthly lives were but a wisp of smoke. Jesus tells us not to worry...but lets face it...we can't help it. He is always with you whether the answers are yes, no or wait.
Is there a bible passage to back that up? If not, it's just some stranger on the internet making a pronouncement.
2 Corinthians 12:7-10 "Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
Thanks for the reference. Somehow it's not too comforting to think that a messenger from Satan is involved in this. Would this be the circumstance that caused OP to lose the job?
It should be kept in mind that this passage is in direct relation to (and directly follows) a vision of Heaven that Paul was given, in which he saw things that he was not allowed to speak about. And in order for Paul not to think that he was somehow exalted above other men for having been given this vision, God made sure to keep him humble. I'm not sure this can be strictly compared to the employment issue.
