But OP is saying that this is an extreme case. He is a partner. He will be working 60-90 hour weeks, and he will be on call always. That is what it means. So she either has to be the default parent or she has to hire out absolutely everything. The same would be true of a female partner for the most part, although there is a very, very slight allowance for female partners to every year or so acknowledge that they have a kid with an obligation. There is no such allowance for men.[/quote]
