Actually, I am guessing that they just do not want to know what kind of supplementing one is doing at home.  Their issue may be that kids are preferring to use the old way to solve problems and are not receptive to the new way - and the teachers are being pressurized to implement the new way of doing Math.   I think that is the crux of the problem.

In any case - they should have noticed that DC is scoring very high in the MAP-M exams.  How did they think that was happening?  It is not as if my DC is a Math genius.[/quote]
