All right, then let's back up. Why do you think that the girls are wanting to wear these dresses that OP so disapproves of?
It's just a bad decision, plain and simple. Just like the million others they will make over the 4 years of HS. I get some girls change their clothes once they get to school but these moms are posting pictures on FB. It's like asking why do kids not wear bike helmet... because their parents don't make them.
No, I don't think that answers the question. However, it does raise a different question: why is wearing one of those dresses a bad decision, similar to not wearing a bike helmet?
Because when 1 lame parent does not require a bike helmet all the kids ask "why do I have to wear one" and the smart/responsible/normal parents have to be the bad guys. If you noticed many kids were dressed fine. But you also will see the moms bemoaning what an issue it is to get to a 1/2 decent dress. Dang one mom is taking pictures of her daughters butt to prove to her it does not look great back there. Applause from this mom. I personally don't care... you are wearing a helmet AND you ass will NOT hang out of your shorts AND your dress will not be a coochie cutter... I have no problem being the "bad guy".
