My kid is still young, so lots of things might change in the next decade and a half, but not one penny of parental (or grandparental) funding goes to one of those sort of schools. I wouldn't disown him, but I wouldn't pay for it. I got a large merit scholarship to a flagship (but still middling) state school and went because I needed the money. It was tough being a genius surrounded by idiots, but somehow I managed. :wink: I'll be quite happy to be in a position to fight with my kid over greek life, campus location and the like. [/quote]
