Food Lion sells a brand of greek yogurt that is very good and has the same amount of protein as Chobani and the others, but is much cheaper. The flavors are more limited, but I always buy the vanilla anyway and add fresh fruit.
Haven't read the entire thread, so this may have already been mentioned: I heard on NPR Thursday that many (especially store) brands are using extra milk protein, gelatin and fillers to achieve the greek yogurt consistency. Chobani is the (only?) original one that still makes it authentically, by straining out the liquid. It was an interesting piece; I'll look next time I grocery shop to see which have different ingredients than Chobani. Here's the link: http://www.npr.org/blogs/thesalt/2012/07/19/156997600/high-tech-shortcut-to-greek-yogurt-leaves-purists-fuming
No, Chobani is not the only one. The NPR piece says Fage does as well. I prefer Fage 2% and I use it in place of sour cream.
