I hope all of this back and forth with naysayers is providing awareness (after all tomorrow starts Autism Awareness Month). My fear is it is just doing a disservice to those who want information pre-diagnosis and is an insult to those post diagnosis. IMHO. And to PP, my checkbook will testify on the stand with yours. Just started looking for summer programs suitable for SN kids.
Oh god, I hope you have some wine at hand when you click on the "tuition" page. We have heard good things about the JCC in Annandale's SN camp but can't afford it (it was something like 900-1000$/week!!!). We have tried the Fairfax adaptive rec camp ("explorers"?) and my ds hated it and refused to go.
