In downtown DC it was surprising to see how many main streets had clearly not been plowed. With the additional road closures forcing cars to some of the lesser used streets it was pretty amazing how bad they were compared to the clean-up of previous storms. Yes, sidewalks that were shoveled yesterday were clear...but it's ridiculous how many hadn't even been touched. It was all fine and I'm sure my DS is happier in school than he would be at home. But, in comparison to the choices to delay or close earlier this season it just seems like there was a failure of adequate clean-up.[/quote]
