+1, coming from someone who HATES - and I mean completely detests - makeup. It feels horrible, and I resent having to spend time putting it on every morning and retouching it after lunch, but unfortunately life sometimes involves doing necessary things you would rather not do. From the time I was in my middle teen years I knew that makeup was necessary for most occasions. It is part of the appropriate wardrobe for all but the most casual situations. I wish it weren't the case, but a women's work look, or formal look in non-work situations, is incomplete without makeup. Natural-looking, conservative, and not flashy is the way to go for work IMO, but that could depend slightly on the culture of your office and the prevailing norms.[/quote]
