I didn't suggest that every single person who didn't attend an ivy is jealous.

However, I do contend that those who make remarks like the OP are.

The vast majority may not care, but the ones who can't wait to point out a student from Harvard didn't win on Jeopardy DOES care.

Nobody cares this much about Harvard whether you realize it or not.  I and may others could give less than a good damn about HYP.  This is a very small minority that freaks out over Harvard, yourself included.

Yup. 99% of the population doesn't lose sleep over HYP. But the 1% that cares hugely apparently includes OP and the other posters slamming Harvard. Some PPs here, like 11:13, are practically foaming at the mouth, unless 11:13 normally talks that way (which would be unfortunate).
