OK - This is not the answer you want to hear - so  ....just to make you happy -

I am a SAHM, I am totally dependent on him. He has affairs and also hits me periodically. I do everything around the house. He is verbally, emotionally abusive.  I also suffer from a bad haircut, poor sense of style and other debilitating issues.  And he ALWAYS makes me wash his mug which is stuck with paper bits.

Actually, have you seen how quickly these things turn into a husband bashing frenzy or doormat wife accusations on this forum?

I really like my DH, he is not only a great husband but a genuinely nice human being with a great heart. I can indulge in some "husband tales" but not male bashing because 1/2 my favorite persons in the world are male.

For what I wrote, I expected an "eeeww" or a LOL emoticon reaction, not why he was not washing the dishes.

So offense in this case is the best form of defense.  Bite me![/quote]

The pp did not ask why he was not washing dishes, they asked why he didn't wash his paper filled mug.
All you had to say was 'whoever gets to the dishes first, ends up stuck with the mess'

It is what it is. I started this thread, because I thought it would be funny.
90% off the  responses have included posters saying they love their husbands in spite of their quirks, others simply saying 'hey my DH does the same crazy thing'. There has been no bashing of men or women, as both genders(generally and individually) do wacky things. This thread was just supposed to be a funny recounting of our experiences of those things. If you are too sensitive to participate, I suggest you dip out now.

Oh come on!  I am a NP, but I think the poster who originally wrote that her DH left bits of gross paper in his mugs was just trying to be funny with her SAHM post!  I thought it was pretty funny!  In fact, most of the posters are writing humorous and cute responses.  The poster who wrote back to her "why doesn't he wash his own mug?" was the 1st one to pick on a previous poster. [/quote]

Lost in translation as they say. I no more thought asking why he did not wash his own mug was anymore hostile than the poster asking about dude who wears socks during sex.
