Is your child 2? Move to Brookland, rent an apartment. Maybe no laundry in apartment, my heart bleeds for you. Deal. Get a bike with a seat for the kid. Send the kid to Scrilli School, a neighborhood daycare / preschool that everyone loves and costs $500 a month. Reduce your retirement savings until you are on your feet. You're welcome!
What do I do with the 2 year old while I do laundry? You'd be the same ahole posting here saying I was a bad mom for leaving my kid alone or calling sending her to school with dirty clothes. Furthermore Brookland has too many rapes. That is not the childhood experience she's getting. Thanks
I assume you are not the OP because, WOW. What do you do with the kid while you do laundry? You walk to the washer with the kid, put the laundry in, walk back to the apt with the kid and show back up at the washer 5 minutes before it's over. What do you do with the kid at the grocery store when you have to check out? You multitask and keep an eye out. You can't be serious that laundry is a deal-breaker? I've lived in several laundry in the laundry room buildings, and in none of them did anyone stay with their laundry the whole time. Furthermore, YOU CAN FIND A $1500 ONE BEDROOM WITH LAUNDRY! You just don't have a stainless steel fridge, probably. Is that the issue, OP?
