His point was that anybody can pull off the "old money" image (Chevy Chase shack, old oriental rugs, inherited antiques and silverware). Sure, it was humorous, but it was based on solid observations so there's definitely some substance behind the humor. I agree that putting himself in some made-up class of uber-cool academics was a cop-out....[/quote]
