If you think "ship manifest" has something to do with someone's immigration status, your relatives were probably illegal. Or just really lucky. Or white. Or a combination of all 3.
Oh Christ, let it go. If you can't figure out the horrible drain illegals have on our current system, you're sadder than I thought. And just as pathetic as the rest of the liberals around here. I won't be here permanently (I know, "there's the door," how original of you!), but y'all will be stuck with this. ENJOY.
Ugh. You're not only a disgusting racist wingnut idiot, but you're derailing a very interesting discussion. Please do show yourself the door. I'd love to hear more on people's thoughts regarding overpopulation. I'm with the posters who think that every extra child born in the US will be a larger drain on resources than kids born to parents in poorer countries, and I wish Americans (and honestly people all over the world, although I get that the issues are complex) would limit their family size. If you search DCUM for old threads on "should I have a third" and "should I have a fourth", you'll notice that years ago - like 2008 - posters would advise sticking with a smaller size, please consider the planet, etc. Now you'll see much less of that - it's more like "go for it!" with much less mention of environmental impact.
