Are you serious? I had no idea that it was against the law anywhere to let a dog poop on someone's lawn! I don't have a dog, but plenty of people have let their dog take a dump on my property. Usually they clean it up, but there is always something left. Also, there is a public stretch of grass literally two feet from my lawn, so I just don't get it. Interesting.

Yes, according to Alexandria City Code, it's unlawful for the owner to "Knowingly or willfully allow his dog to urinate or defecate on the private property of other persons without their consent or that of the authorized agent of the one having control of the premises."

I assume other counties have similar rules.[/quote]
