Listen, I am really sick of this crap! Is she a frickin' supermodel, no. Does she challenge modern ideals of beauty, YES and actually some people find that attractive. Seriously, no one is demanding you jerk off to this lady- stop making your hatred of women so obvious. There is so much hate of her because she doesn't care what you think... it is so old already... move on and pick another young girl to abuse
If it makes you feel better, there are a good number of super models I don't find attractive. And there are also a few unconventional people I find attractive. I just don't find her attractive.
That is fine, it is just that there is so much criticism of how this women looks- it is far too common a practice to tear women down based on how they look even when that's is not what she is trying to accomplish. Even women in politics get put to a higher standard of how they "look". Like we can't accomplish anything unless we look pretty while doing it...and the fact that this young actress tries to battle that by putting herself out there in some unflattering ways- really challenges people and brings out the worst in some.
In this case, Lena Dunham is the want who started the controversy about how she looks. Her show has a lot of gratuitous nudity. And she puts it in there BECAUSE she wants to stir the pot and force people to comment on her body. She doesn't "put herself out there in unflattering ways" because it's important to the story line of the show. She does it in ORDER to put herself out there in an unflattering way and start a controversy about it. She has just about admitted this in interviews. Any time an actress decides to do lots of nudity to make a statement about nudity, then she is the one inviting the scrutiny over her body.
