I was going to write I can spot a chick from an all-sister household (+2 sisters-- just one doesn't seem to matter) in a mile.  Your description is apt.  They also tend to be of femi-nazi variety---putting down men constantly.

I have a sibling of each gender and feel very fortunate.  I love both of them to death.  Having a brother (esp one like men--mr.popularity, star athlete, girl magnet, hooligan/hilarious) really made me understand the male gender well.  I idolized him. I, to this day, can't stand huge gaggles of women.  I avoid events like that.  I find you can't get a large group of women together without them gossiping, back-stabbing or laying on the one women that isn't there.  I have a handful of very close women friends, but they are similar that they are no-nonsense, no drama, non-gossipers.

I am very wary of women who make statements like this. You are a woman. D you think you are gossipy and backstabbing? I am a woman, and I am not backstabbing, so I would never make the generalizations you made. Of I hear a woman characterize women like this, I assume she is backstabbing and gossipy.[/quote]

but she said that she finds - in her experience this to be the case. i didn't see that as genralizing. and you assumption doesn't make much sense. i'm not into cackling and gossiping but every time a group of my cousins get together they do indeed talk bad about the one/ones who aren't there. in this case, i assume they talk badly about me when i'm not around.
