If you get into a school OOB you can do what you want and stay in that school as long as you want (provided you stay in the District). If IB privileges got you into the school but you move OOB, you have to reapply through the OOB lottery. This isn't even at the principal's discretion, although I imagine that it's really hard for audits to keep track of that if a principal or administrator doesn't want to point it out.[/quote]
