the OP is not an alum. I just don't buy alum's so far removed from high school would post on this website. Current students or maybe young alums who are now presently in college; I'm sure they post from time to time. An alum who graduated from the mid 90's voices his frustration on this website vs emailing the headmaster or alumni director directly. Yeah I guess your an alum who has nothing better to do with his life or odds are its a mother with an ax to grind.
NP, I'm always puzzled when people try to personally identify DCUM posters. In most cases there are many people who share similar views on any particular issue, so even if you have a pretty good idea who the poster may be it would not ever be prudent to identify or confront that individual, because you could be wrong and it's not worth the risk. In this particular thread, where are the Landon filters? The OP stated a point of view about an institution. Lord knows Landon has had many hairy warts in the past. By comparison, this complaint was rather mild. Also, this is the season when schools send out their acceptance letters and the schools are competing often times for the same students, so usually this time of year there are more negative posts circulating about all of the privates. But back to my question about why the Landon PR/filter group didn't tell their boosters to remain mute on this thread is odd The OP wrote about a portion of a group email from a large institution in which they did not agree. So what, you can't please everyone. The responses arguing the merits or flaws of the OP are fair but what is not fair game is trying to figure out who the poster may be. Responses said the OP was a woman, was prissy, and a mother with and axe to grind. It would be prudent for Landon Boosters to avoid such misogynist and violent graphic images in the first place. But, it also makes me wonder why Landon posters always feel the need to make it personal. Rather than arguing the merits of the email or the OP in question, they always make it personal and it always ends with a menacing tone. The post to which I am responding is a couple days old so perhaps the Landon PR Dept. did act to stifle further aggressive posts by their boosters and if that's the case great, if not perhaps they might give this post some consideration.
