Can you share which center school you're at? We are at Churchill and this is making me wonder what the % breakdown is there. How did you get that number at your school?
We are a 5th grade AAP family at Churchill too. I am sure some parents selected to do Algebra I next year. However, every parent I spoke directly (10+) says they are not doing Algebra I next year. On another note, I saw a parent of a 6th grader this week at school and they said their child is repeating Algebra I next year in 7th because their child does not feel ready to go to the next math class. The kid is a good student.
We are AAP family at Churchill too. DS and almost all his friends except one are taking Algebra 1 next year.
Did you get a chance to talk to the CRS 6th Grade Algebra 1 HN parents? If the teacher is good, and students are well prepared, it shouldn't be a problem.
